Your writing

Notes, lists, settings and attached photos are stored on your device. WizardList works offline, without an account, ads, analytics or app-managed cloud sync. It does not automatically send your writing or photos to us.

We cannot read, recover or delete your local writing remotely.

Photos

The camera is used only when you choose to take a photo. For existing pictures, the system picker shares only the photos you select. Saving camera pictures to your Photos library is optional.

Original images are kept so you can edit them without losing the original. They may retain metadata, such as location information already in the image. WizardList does not request location or microphone access.

Widgets

WizardList automatically shares folder names, icons, task titles, counts and writing excerpts with its own widgets, locally on the same device. There is no per-folder sharing switch. Drafts, Bin items, attached photos and Demo writing are excluded.

Content you choose to display is visible on your Home Screen. iOS controls widget refresh timing, so edits and deletions may take time to appear.

Backups and deletion

Your iPhone may include app data in its backups, depending on your settings. You can also export a WizardList backup from Settings → Manage & recover → Backup & recovery, containing your writing and original photos, including Bin items and saved interrupted edits.

Exported backups are not encrypted by WizardList. Choose a safe place to keep them.

Deleted items stay in the Bin until permanently removed. Settings → Manage & recover → Backup & recovery → Start fresh… clears the app’s local writing, photos, recovery data, settings and widget data after confirmation. It does not remove exported files, copies in Photos or device/cloud backups. Reset is not secure erasure.

For a lost-phone backup, save an exported copy in iCloud Drive or somewhere else away from your phone, and check that the transfer has finished. A file saved under On My iPhone stays on that phone. A completed iPhone backup that includes WizardList provides another recovery option; reinstalling the app alone does not restore your writing.

Demo / Help

Demo / Help uses separate practice data. It is cleared when you leave, with cleanup retried if interrupted.

This website and support

This website uses Cloudflare for hosting and delivery. Cloudflare processes technical information, including IP addresses and traffic data, to provide its services. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. This does not give Cloudflare access to writing stored in the WizardList app.

We add no advertising, analytics scripts or contact form to this website.

If you email us, we use your email address and message to help with your enquiry. We keep correspondence only as long as needed for support. To request deletion, email hello@wizardlist.app.
