WizardList

Support

A little help with WizardList.

Back up your writing

Go to Settings → Manage & recover → Backup & recovery to export a backup. Save it in iCloud Drive or somewhere else away from your phone, and check that uploading or transferring has finished. On My iPhone keeps the file on that phone. Export a backup before uninstalling the app or using Start fresh.

Exported backups are not encrypted by WizardList, so store them somewhere you trust.

You can also restore a completed iPhone backup that includes WizardList during iPhone setup. Reinstalling the app alone does not restore your writing.

Restore something you deleted

Check the Bin. You can restore items until they are permanently removed. For interrupted writing, check Settings → Manage & recover → Backup & recovery.

Change a widget

Touch and hold a widget on your Home Screen, then choose Edit Widget. Depending on the widget, you can change its folder, appearance, tap action or wisdom rotation interval.

Quick Add opens writing. Open folder opens the selected folder. Widget updates may take a little time because iOS controls when they refresh.

Use WizardList offline

Your writing, lists and folders work without an account or internet connection. They stay on your device; there is no app-managed cloud sync.

Find your attached photos

Attached photos are stored inside WizardList. Saving camera pictures to Photos is optional. Copies in Photos or exported elsewhere are separate from the app’s originals.

Start fresh

Go to Settings → Manage & recover → Backup & recovery → Start fresh… for a full reset. Export anything you want to keep first. You’ll be asked to confirm.

This does not delete copies saved elsewhere, including Photos and device/cloud backups.
